Our Accommodations

Each cottage has two bedrooms and sleeps a maximum of five guests. Cottages are only available to rent on a weekly basis Saturday-Saturday. There is a built-in queen size platform bed in one room and three singles in the other. Parking is available for two vehicles per cottage. Kitchens are fully equipped for preparing your own meals. You will need to bring all bedding, towels, and beach gear. If you are missing an essential item to make your stay more comfortable and enjoyable, we would like to know. Use of the fireplace has been discontinued, for safety reasons, so pack some warm clothes if cool weather is in the forecast.

The stone hearth and chimney still provide a rustic charm to the classic wood-paneled interiors. Next year we  plan to install gas-fired fireplace inserts to help take the chill off the occasional rainy day or cool evening.

Calendar For Dates Available For Your Stay

We provide a no-frills beach experience where sun, surf, and sand are the main attractions.

Our clean, cozy cottages provide a home base for exploring all that Mid-Coast Maine has to offer the adventurer, the artist, the naturalist, or the solitude seeker.  Once you have experienced a week at Three Isles, we hope that you return again, year after year. Many of our guests have generations’ worth of Popham Beach memories.

We value and respect the fragile coastal dune ecosystem and endeavor to minimize our impact while still offering a unique opportunity to enjoy one of Maine’s least developed beaches.  In order to provide the quality beach experience that everyone expects from Three Isles Cottages, occupancy is strictly limited to a total of 5 persons per cottage, including renters and any day or overnight guests, preferably no more than 2-3 adults at a time.  Parking is provided in designated areas for more than 2 vehicles for each cottage.

Sorry, no pets allowed. No smoking anywhere inside the cottages, including on the screened in back porch.

What we provide and what we don’t:

Each cottage is fully furnished.  The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator/freezer, small electric range and oven, microwave, coffee maker and filters, toaster, electric crock pot, assorted pots and pans (including a lobster pot), and table settings. We provide dish soap and sponge, salt and pepper, garbage bags, and toilet paper. The living room has a ceiling fan and the outdoor deck has a charcoal grill and table with umbrella and chairs. The bathroom has compact fixtures with a stall shower.

Bring your own paper towels, aluminum foil and plastic wrap, and toiletries. You will also need your own bedding and towels, beach chairs and other gear (an umbrella is highly recommended for some shade), charcoal for the grill. Sun screen is a must and insect repellent is recommended – mosquitoes may accompany you during your early morning and evening walks on the path to and from the beach; days with a breeze off the land may signal an appearance of greenheads on the beach, so best to be prepared. A shallow point well provides a shared water supply for the cottages, and the water is perfectly safe for drinking and bathing.  However, at times the water may have a slight sulfurous smell, so you may want to bring your own supply of drinking water if the taste is unappealing.
